The Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives the U.S. Special Envoy to Sudan

His Excellency Dr. Ali Yusuf Ahmed Al-Sharif, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Mr. Tom Perriello, the U.S. Special Envoy to Sudan, and his accompanying delegation at his office on Monday November 18th, 2024.

H.E. The Minister welcomed the visit, appreciating the United States’ efforts in providing humanitarian aid to Sudan and its contribution to achieving the Jeddah Declaration. He reiterated the Government’s desire to achieve peace that ends the suffering of Sudanese citizens subjected to heinous violations by the rebel militia. He emphasized that the Government does not obstruct the delivery of humanitarian aid to its people; rather, it is the rebel militia doing so to provoke foreign intervention after being defeated.
