His Excellency Ambassador Hussein Awad Ali, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, met today, Friday, September 27, 2024, with His Excellency Mr. Zhenbek Kulubaev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and the exchange of support in international forums.

The Minister also briefed his counterpart on the background and developments of the situation in Sudan, highlighting the extent of external interference in the crisis. He called for its condemnation in any forum, considering Kyrgyzstan’s membership in several organizations, such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and its pursuit of a non-permanent seat on the Security Council.
