As part of the preparatory meetings for the China-Africa Cooperation Forum Summit, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hassan Awad Ali, and the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, are participating in the ministerial meeting of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, held today in Beijing, with the presence of African Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Finance, along with their Chinese counterparts.
The summit meetings will take place on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
Following the summit, a forum for Chinese and African business leaders will be held on October 6, with the attendance of leaders from China and Africa to discuss opportunities for expanding economic cooperation between China and African nations.
The preparatory meetings for the summit began yesterday with a meeting of senior officials from China and 53 African countries.
The summit will provide a favorable opportunity for the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council to discuss with his Chinese counterpart the bilateral relations between the two countries, Sudan’s requirements at this stage, and the coordination between the two leaderships.
In the same context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will meet with his Chinese counterpart to discuss the bilateral relations between the two countries at various levels and ways to strengthen them, as well as joint coordination between the two countries in regional and international forums.
