Today, the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, participated in the inauguration ceremony of Rwandan President Paul Kagame, alongside a number of African leaders and representatives from governments and diplomatic missions.

The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council was warmly welcomed by the crowds of Rwandans attending the inauguration at Kigali Stadium. In response, General al-Burhan greeted the assembled masses with great enthusiasm, waving to the crowd with both hands to express his satisfaction and happiness with the warm reception from the Rwandan people.

Accompanying the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council on his visit is the Director General of the General Intelligence Service, General Ahmed Ibrahim Mofaddal.
