The Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt

His Excellency Dr. Ali Yusuf Ahmed, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received His Excellency Mr. Hani Salah El-Din, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Sudan.

The meeting addressed the longstanding relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples, exploring ways to preserve, develop, and advance these relations to serve the shared higher interests of both nations.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed gratitude to the Egyptian Ambassador for Egypt’s supportive positions toward Sudan, its ongoing assistance during the current crisis, including hosting of a large number of Sudanese citizens who sought refuge in Egypt because of the war.

The meeting also discussed the need to address some challenges facing Sudanese citizens, particularly in matters related to residence permits and education.

Furthermore, the discussions touched on the current situation in Sudan, efforts to restore stability, and endeavors to achieve a just and comprehensive peace that meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people, with the support of brotherly Countries.
